On another happy note: Going to see if Tebow will visit our site when I, HOPEFULLY, see him today! Listing Mr. Buzzy (believe that is ok?!) along w/others in a letter handed directly to him…at least that’s the plan. LOL

Today’s split squad lineup against the Astros:

    1. Granderson/CF
    2. Cabrera/SS
    3. Cespedes/LF
    4. Bruce/DH
    5. Duda/1B
    6. Flores/2B
    7. d’Arnaud/C
    8. Tebow/RF
    9. Mazzilli/3B

  7. Shirley says:

YAY! Welcome back Buzzy! We were worried about you.

  8. David says:

It’s the top of the 8th and Tim has had 3 ABs. He grounded out to third, to first, and to shortstop. It looks like he’s playing more aggressively today. He was playing right field and now they’ve moved him to left field. The score is 7-3 Astros. I’m getting this info from gameday.

  9. Bubbaelvis says:

He was 0 for 3 today. However, it is good that he is making contact against the MLB pitchers. This isn’t minor league pitching, it is the real deal. It is pretty impressive that he is hanging with them after only one instructional league season. The guy had not played baseball in 12 years and is making great progress. I think he will do well in AA or AAA ball and move up quickly.

  10. TheMascotArmy says:

If also bet the pitchers are taking their Tebow at bats seriously to because they’re so high profile.
Not too bad. He needs at bats. Give him a year.

    • Danny says:

Absolutely. They are treating Tim like a peer and working hard to get him out. Wednesday was his first exposure to top shelf pitching – a Cy Young winner no less.

Remember, Tim has perhaps 100 professional at-bats. Tim will be fine when he gets more at bats. That’s been the common theme all along.

  11. David says:

Tebow was actually 0-4 today. In the bottom of the 8th it was 7-5 Astros and the Mets had 2 outs with a man on first and second. Tim came up to bat and I’m thinking “if he can hit this out he’ll win the game”. Unfortunately, it was not Tebow Time, and he struck out swinging on 3 pitches. So, he hit the ball 3 times with 1 strikeout. No hits.
    Mighty Casey came to mind.

  12. David says:

This is why Tebow was overthrowing Cespedes while playing catch.
“PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — There are so many aspects of professional baseball that Tim Tebow is still unearthing, so much he admittedly still must learn. Upon trekking over to First Data Field on Friday for his second Grapefruit League game, Tebow linked up with Yoenis Cespedes as his partner for a game of catch.

Since arriving from Cuba, Cespedes has become famous for his warmup routine, which on Friday began with a two-pound baseball, then a softball, then finally a regulation baseball. The sequence took Tebow aback, resulting in multiple throws over Cespedes’ head. But Tebow drew from it.”

How liberal is sports media? Poll of Sports Media Reveals Only 4% Voted for Donald Trump.

    • Danny says:

The mask sure came off and exposed the sports media for who they are.

    • Sage says:

I’d like to understand better why conservatives don’t have a stronger commitment to owning and operating media companies.

Years ago, John O’Sullivan said that any organization not explicitly conservative will drift into liberalism. I think he’s quite right. But I don’t see many conservatives even trying to enter the space. This is probably a market inefficiency someone could capitalize on.

As a younger guy, I looked at journalism and publishing. But coming up with daily filler content was kind of a drag. Maybe only liberals are willing to generate B.S. day after day, year-round.

      • TheMascotArmy says:

Yes, or Hollywood. The Koch’s could do a lot more owning a movie studio that inserted a few conservative lines with their abortion hero protagonists than whatever else their funding…and could make money at the same time.
Where’s the conservative version of Bezos’s Washington post purchase?

      • ck says:

Knew that is why “Sage” fits perfectly–ELOQUENCE!

  14. David says:

Tebow comes up empty in second game
Mets outfielder makes debut in outfield but finishes 0-for-4 vs. Astros

    • ck says:

Like to see someone else in that position do any better than Tebow! Glad he is giving it his all and thanks David for the link too!

  15. Andrea says:

What’s happened to CK? Did she pass out after meeting Tebow and have to go to a hospital? Or maybe Tebow thought Ck was a stalker and had her arrested?

So how do it go CK? I hope when you passed Tebow the letter about us you mentioned that Andrea was still single.
