Gotti’s post, which has been “liked” on Facebook more than 25,000 times, says he was traveling from Atlanta to Phoenix when another passenger started experiencing some sort of medical distress.

“I watched strangers from all over the world and every ethnicity come to the help of this man for over an hour! Whether it was chest compressions, starting an IV, helping breathe life into this man, or praying everyone helped! I listened to shock after shock from the AED machine and still no pulse. No one gave up. I observed people praying and lifting this man up to the Lord in a way that I’ve never seen before. The crew of Delta Air Lines were amazing. They acted in a fast and professional manner!”

The story gets even more memorable:

“Then all of a sudden, I observed a guy walking down the aisle. That guy wasTim Tebow. He met with the family as they cried on his shoulder! I watched Tim pray with the entire section of the plane for this man. He made a stand for God in a difficult situation. The plane landed in Phoenix and that was the first time they got a pulse back! Please share this with your friends! Pray for this man and his family, and also thank God that we still have people of faith who in times of difficulty look to the Lord!”

Delta spokesman Brian Kruse confirmed that there had been a medical emergency on board, and noted that paramedics greeted the plane to ensure the passenger received immediate care.

“We can’t say enough about the Delta professionals who care for our customers every day and we are grateful to our customers who are so often quick to extend kindness and care to one another,” he said.

Naturally, the airline doesn’t release information about who’s on board, though. Tebow hasn’t posted anything about the matter, in keeping with his humble nature, but we’re trying to confirm.

For now, though, we can personally vouch for the fast-acting Delta crew members. During flight 1294 from Atlanta to Raleigh at 9 a.m. June 4, a passenger on the plane became concerned when another person on the plane appeared unresponsive, and pressed the flight attendant call button.

In a split second, crew members were at the distressed passenger’s side with an oxygen unit available. (It wasn’t needed, it turned out). An announcement upon landing requested we all keep our seats. An ambulance met the plane at the gate and paramedics boarded as soon as we landed.

The passenger was assisted off the plane and was being attended to by the paramedics when we walked by (she was alert and talking).

Tebow wasn’t on that Atlanta to Raleigh flight that we were on – but we’re sure there were some people praying.

Apparently, it has been confirmed and he sure steps out of his comfort zone to help others…God bless Tebow and all who have the good fortune to come into contact w/him. Prayers.

You’re so right, ck, about stepping out of the comfort zone. It’s something a lot of us have become reluctant to do, and he sets the best example I’ve seen anywhere for a long time.

His family did such a great job at fostering his exceptional character.

    • ck says:

Thanks David for the link…sure makes you think about being a better example and how humble he is about all that he does! Thank God for Tebow being on that plane at that time and made a DIFFERENCE!

Tebow Derangement Syndrome is out in full force. Tebow haters are having a field day saying this was a publicity stunt (aka like the Kardashians) and others are saying Tebow shouldn’t have got involved as he may have interfered with the emergency rescue team.

If only Tebow had walked over to the victims wife and smoked dope with her the mainstream sports media would say Tebow was a great guy.

Mainstream sports media makes me physically ill . ( I do not consider Brandi a member of the mainstream media so Brandi is not included.)

I’ve been seeing some of the same comments.

This goes beyond a simple disagreement whether or not he’s a NFL quarterback.

      No, this goes much deeper.

This is outright hatred, and Tim doesn’t deserve it.

He didn’t promote this incident, tweet it, or publish it on any social media. The only comment came from the Tebow Foundation that confirmed the incident happened WHEN OTHER MEDIA REACHED OUT TO HIM. Not a peep from Tim.

Tim hasn’t done anything to deserve some of the hateful comments that I’ve read.

You did right in my book Tim.

Orlando Sentinel article about the haters in the comments from articles about this incident:

Buzzy says: About 70% of the articles about this incident were Pro Tebow.

        • Brandi says:

There aren’t nearly as many Tebow “haters” as it seems. But the ones there are must not have any lives. Cause they are anywhere there are articles about Tim or any of his Fans. And they don’t rest until they’ve beaten their points home about him.

These are people who convinced even the Jacksonville Sports Media (as well as the Team) that if Tim was a Jaguar the most that would happen is the stadium would be filled for a few Games and then nothing. Meanwhile the “real” Jaguars Fans would leave.

How any rational person could ever buy that thinking is mind boggling. Which may be why his detractors often sound anything but rational.

Agree w/u and Danny too! They have NO SHAME OR ETHICS!!!
