Tim Tebow news 2016: QB continues to motivate millions despite NFL unemployment

Ever since Tim Tebow left the Philadelphia Eagles, his Christian views and influence seem to reach out to people more than when he was a player.

The former quarterback of the Eagles is known for his Christian practices and he continues to be known for it even when he stopped playing for the NFL. In fact, he stood before thousands at the Northside Church in Fresno, California last weekend to talk about being a role model.

You might think, ‘I’m not a role model,'” Tebow said, according to The Fresno Bee. “There aren’t these people that are looking up to me, and my response to that is: There is probably someone who is looking up to you. … There is someone that their life is going to be changed because of you. The question is, ‘Is it going to be changed for the better or the worse?'”

Tebow has been optimistic despite the turn of his career. It was in 2008 when he won the national championship, and had winning post-season moments against the Steelers, Jets, Eagles and Patriots after. However, his football careersurprisingly ended on Sept. 5, 2015 when his team cut him after the fourth pre-season game.

During his 40-minute talk, he shared a moment when he was able to spread God’s message in public by placing “John 3:16” under his eyes, back when he was playing for the University of Florida.

His university’s public relations team called him up and said, “During that game, did you realize that 94 million people googled John 3:16?”

He said, “And honestly my first thought was, ‘How in the heck do 94 million people not know John 3:16? … What a big God that we serve. I’m out playing a silly game, and I put these things under my eyes and it’s amazing what God can do.”

Today, he is known not just as a former NFL player, but an influential personality as well. His Tim Tebow Foundation, which was established in 2010, continues to help children with life-threatening medical cases.

I am hoping he won’t be unemployed by the NFL for long. I saw something interesting that may or may not mean anything. There is a picture of Tim and a guy named Mike Holmes captioned “heading to the building site”(or something like that). I’m not positive about the first name but this guy has a show called Holmes on Homes. I’ve heard Tim is doing a show where they build homes for people, so maybe it is with this guy. Anyway, I looked up this guy and he is from Toronto, Canada.I think the picture might have been taken in Canada. Perhaps Tim is building his Canadian fan base before he goes up there to play. If the NFL doesn’t want him, I hope he plays in the CFL and their ratings goes through the roof.

It’s a show called Home Free. The show will be starting the second season shortly and Tim will be a co-host.

Larry had the scoop on that show a few weeks ago perhaps if he’s out here he can weigh in on the show.

Bubbleelvis: I’m convinced that Tim would thrive in the CFL. It’s a real plus for a QB in the CFL to be athletic. Perhaps all is needed is to reach an equitable deal. It would certainly put the CFL on the map and Tim knows it.
