Interesting article in Sports Illustrated about if John Elway’s ego will make him mess up Broncos QB situation. Doesn’t specifically mention Tim but does say Elway has a problem with how he treats his QBs.

    • Sage says:

Tebow was Elway reincarnated. Not the throwing motion. But the athleticism and grace under pressure. Elway didn’t relish seeing every one of his records smashed by someone who was drafted by Josh McDaniels.

During Elway’s first 7 seasons, the thing you had to love was watching him escape the clutches of pursuing defenders, often by fractions of an inch. His running and elusiveness were what separated him from the rest. It took Tebow less than 60 minutes as a starter to eclipse that entirely, as when he ran full speed and straight into the Oakland defense for a 40-yard touchdown in his first start.

My wish is that Elway could now see himself as a hero for reviving Tebow’s career. Actually, that would be a brilliant move and help Elway to be remembered another generation or two.

I knew that about Elway by the way he treated Tebow. I’ll have to look at the SI article to see if it tees off Elway.

  3. David says:

Tim Tebow scored 34 times in his first 16 games of playing time. Jobless
Ryan Fitzpatrick scored 33 times in 2015. Gets no respect
RG3 scored 27 times in his best season. Signed by Browns
Kaepernick scored 25 times in his best season. Stuck in SF
Glennon scored 24 times in his first 16.
Moore scored 18 TDs in his first 16. Signed by Miami-Tannenbaum.
Keenum has 16 TDs in 15 starts. Starting in LA

  4. Danny says:

If there’s any movement for Tebow, it will probably be within the next three weeks or so. Off season workouts begin April 18 for most teams and the draft begins April 30. If he isn’t signed by an NFL team by then, he probably won’t play in the NFL this season. CFL camps start at the end of May and season opener is in late June. All that to say we will know soon what will happen with Tebow.

I agree with your thoughts on the timeframe. Has anyone heard any rumors? I want Tim to play so bad. I have been a football fan for as long as I can remember…his season in Denver is one that I’ll never forget.
