Fans clamor for Tim Tebow’s return to Broncos in online petition

Near 9000 Strong Have Signed the petition.

Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow hands off against the New England Patriots Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012.

Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow hands off against the New England Patriots Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012.

The Denver Broncos are in search of a starting quarterback. Tim Tebow’s a quarterback. Eh? Eh?

One fan started a an online petition on change.org to bring the Mile High Messiah back to the Broncos.

As of 1:55 p.m., more than 5,000 people signed the petition. Currently the Broncos have two quarterbacks signed in Mark Sanchez and Trevor Siemian.

The argument:

The Denver Broncos have lost their two main quarterbacks from their epic 2016 Super Bowl Championship winning season. We need a proven winner to continue to move this team in the right direction. Coach Gary Kubiak’s offense would thrive with Tebow under center. He and the legendary John Elway can make this happen. We dont need a subpar throwaway from some other team, we need an original Bronco who has the fire, desire, and love of the game to play as a Bronco again! As a bonus the Bronco fans would be ecstatic! He just wins, we all know this! #TebowTime

Tebow was a first-round draft pick of the Broncos in 2010. He played two seasons, completing 47.3 percent of his passes for 2,383 yards, 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

I want Tebow to return to the Broncos more than anyone, but it’s obviously not happening anytime soon.

Paxton Lynch will get some 4 years or more as a starter to prove himself.

The injustice is extreme. Anyone using Twitter should follow the guy tweeting as 6’5withtheafron6’9. He posts devastating proof of Tebow’s rather exceptional performance in the NFL. It’s stuff I know intuitively, but it’s so nice to see strong corroboration through statistics and other facts.

The thought occurred to me today that his entire timeline should be copied and published as a mini “book” on Amazon.

6 QBs have been taken in the draft. The Rams, Eagles, Broncos, Jets, Patriots, and Browns have chosen a QB in the first 3 rounds. Dallas wanted Lynch but Denver got him. Connor Cook and Dak Prescott are still undrafted. The Patriots took Jacoby Brissett in the 3rd.

It’s ridiculous. Tebow will play for league minimum, and teams could’ve drafted another position player. Crazy pills.
The entire NFL is a real life version of the emperor’s New new clothes, but there is no honest child to point out the obvious. They all piss on Tebow in fear of looking unfit for their positions.
      It’s unbearable.

      • Sage says:

Everyone over 40 has heard that story, but you’d never know it by looking at our world.

      • David says:

In the 4th round, the Raiders took Connor Cook, Dallas took Dak Prescott, Bills took Cardale Jones.
The whole league is ignoring Tebow who scored 34 times in 549 touches with 9 interceptions and won in the playoffs in his first 16 games of playing time.
Political correctness is a mental illness and the people in the NFL have a bad case of it.

Something sure IS rotten and agree about “The Emperor” b/c it certainly fits perfectly…HMMM!

I can’t say for all the Teams. But the 3 Florida Teams don’t know the Fans. (And it’s not just the NFL.) They get narrow, usually skewed, viewpoints and it’s all they know. The Jaguars get theirs from a Group that was dedicated to hating all things Tim Tebow, especially his Fans.

I know the Jags Marketing head. He follows me on Twitter. He’s told me how impressed he is at how deeply I’ve assessed the Market. We’ve talked about doing some things together in London. But the league ties their hands. (I’ve run into the same thing with the Rays.)

These Teams don’t really know what the Fans want and often when they try, the leagues’ have hurdles…to protect their ticket broker deals…that prevent them from doing anything if they did.

As far as I know, the only Marketing Affiliate relationship the Jags have is with that group that hates Tim and his Fans so much they’ve infiltrated groups, including this one, to stir up trouble.

This whole thing has been a great big mess with egos and bad blood. Much of it started by Elway’s talking about how crushing the Fan and Media pressure is with Tim. And when all is said and done, I think, it comes down to Teams being gun shy. A Team can see the value of having Tim. Then compare it to the pressures that come with it and because they’re so hamstrung in Marketing, they don’t have pro-active thinking in the Organizations, they don’t have problem solving thinking. They have stand pat with what they know thinking.

Even if they want to break out of it, the league(s) won’t let them,

Something I mentioned a few weeks back is that this weekend was probably going to be the deciding point if Tim plays in the NFL this year. If there is no movement next week I would say that Tim’s best option is Canada, where he has an open door if we wants to take it.

LOL. Spellchecker did really mess up.

Thanks for the laugh – I needed it.

Hoyer has signed with Chicago as a backup for 1 year for 2 million. Other teams, like Seattle, Giants, Vikings and San Diego, have signed undrafted QBs. Maybe they are camp arms. Fox and McCoy are continuing to ignore Tebow for lower scoring QBs.
Rumor has it that the Jets are going to start Geno Smith again and Fitzpatrick, who scored 33 times last year, said that he would rather retire than take their 7 million dollar offer. The Broncos now have 3 QBs that have thrown more interceptions than completions in at least one of their seasons. Sanchez has done it twice in the NFL. Elway did say after the draft that he would be looking for another veteran QB, but who would take the offer when the only chance of making the team is if they get rid of Siemian, last years round 7 pick. Sanchez and Lynch are locks. The NFL is upside down. Why would anyone pay to watch these scrubs play?
The Patriots still have no QB with playing experience behind Tom Brady.
The petition to the Broncos to sign Tebow now has over 10,000 signers.
