I always root against the Broncos, but I was torn this year. Cam is a cocky douche, and if peyton retires, maybe Tebow has a shot at coming back to Denver.
One things for sure, Tebow couldn’t have done any worse on offense than those two QBs.

Mascot Army.. I had similar thoughts as you..

    • David says:

This year, the Denver coaches had to take the ball out of Manning’s hands in order to win. They went back to running the ball. It seems to me that Tebow gave them that dimension as well. Denver was in the red zone 4 times and scored 1 TD on a running play. They settled for field goals on the other 3 red zone attempts. I was thinking “Where is Tim Tebow when you need him”.

  2. Andrea says:

96 millon dollars paid for Manning and the defense wins the Super Bowl.

Panthers didn’t belong in the Super Bowl – they had an easy schedule this year.

I will now sit back and wait to see if the pizza maker took steroids. My hunch is that he did – after all don’t forget what he did to that female trainer back in his college days.

  3. Sage says:

Glad for Kubiak and Phillips. Good coaches.

    • ck says:

So, Sage, what do u say about “Elrot & Pizza Maker”? Something smells rotten b/c he couldn’t play for some of the games and, yet, still makes it to another lackluster SB! Thank God, I can choose not to watch…HMMM!!

      • Sage says:

Not much doubt that if Tebow were in his 5th season as a starter for the Broncos, he’d be in his prime, and his performance would be light years ahead of Pizza-Maker’s.

But not many people seem able to figure that one out.

Elway bailed himself out by drafting defense in the first round for 5 straight seasons, and by hiring his old friend Kubiak. His treatment of Tebow is unforgivable, but I have to admit the guy definitely isn’t stupid.

  4. Danny says:

Manning had a absolutely dreadful game. The Carolina defense kept this one close to the end until Cam Newton fumbled late in the game deep in the zone and gave up on it on the biggest stage. That won’t be forgotten by the Carolina players for sure.

  5. Danny says:

Manning with a 56.6 QBR in the Super Bowl. Manning’s stat line:

CMP ATT YDS CMP% AVG LNG TD INT RAT
    13 23 141 56.5 6.13 25 0 1 56.6

    Yikes!

Well, Elway threw a LOT of money at the Broncos to cover up his Manning mistake and over 100 million dollars later (96 for Manning, extra $$ for premier defenders) he finally got a championship. Elway could have got the same result with half the investment with Tebow and the same defense..

Seeing how Newton folds on the big stage, Carolina may be exploring other options next season? The way the NFL accepts mediocrity I kind of doubt it.

  6. Danny says:

I just looked up Cam Newton’s QBR for the Super Bowl – 55.4!

He had a simply awful game despite the opportunities he was given throughout the game by the Carolina defense. Despite his poor play, the defense kept the game at 16-10 with numerous red zone stops. Carolina’s fate was sealed late in the game when Newton fumbled deep in their own red zone and as he was going for the ball, he literally GAVE UP on the fumble and stepped back as he saw Denver defenders swarming in on the ball! And..this was at the most crucial part of the game when the game was still winnable for Carolina! This is the Super Bowl, you just don’t do that. After that, Denver scored their first offensive touchdown of the day and put the game out of reach.

I had thought better of Newton before this game but not so much now.

Yes, u r right b/c someone said “Pizza-Maker” looked like an old man out there on the field, lol! Wasn’t worth watching and glad they did not make any money off of me!!

Tebowites, Im back Elway, Elway, Elway! The man is a genius. Look Im not here to bash Timmy because I will always credit him for bringing back the spirit stick to Denver. I mean that with all sincerity. But we are Super Bowl 50 Champs, I don’t believe we get there with Timmy sorry. But like I said I credit him for bring the Mile High magic back we needed Timmy at that time.

Look you and Peyton fans are the same trust me. Both of you are a player fan but its the team no player is more than the team, both you all and Peyton fans cant get past that but hey its ok. Believe me I am ready to move on from the Peyton fans.

Its time to move on I wont be back I promise. But Elway was right and now we the Denver Broncos are World Champions.

    • David says:

Congrats, Rick. The QB play in Denver is worse this year than it was with Kyle Orton. Tebow beat Orton out of the job twice with 2 different coaching staffs.
Manning threw 9 TDs with 17 ints in 335 attempts.
Osweiler threw 10 TDs with 6 ints in 275 attempts. 1 rushing score

Tebow threw 19 TDs with 9 ints in 374 attempts in 2010/2011. 15 rushing scores.
Manning and Osweiler needed 610 attempts, 236 more than Tebow needed for 19 passing TDs.
Orton scored 20 times in 500 attempts in 2010.
Tebow scored 34 times with 9 ints and Manning and Osweiler combined for 20 scores with 23 ints in 2015.
They finally had to take the ball out of Manning’s hands and start running it more to avoid turnovers and win. That doesn’t make Elway right, it shows that leaning on a pure passing QB was the wrong thing to do. In the end, Denver won with a good defense in spite of Manning. I’m still wondering how he threw an interception to a lineman in the super bowl.

  8. Tisa says:

It will never be proven that Manning took HGH. He admits it was sent to his house or whatever he was, but he says his wife was taking it to recover from her pregnancy. If she is willing to lie, then I don’t see how anyone can prove he took anything. I believe he did, do someone who took something to hasten his recovery took Timmy’s job away in Denver and sent him to the Jets to start his persecution at the hands of the NFL.

    • ck says:

Believe that is the case too, Tisa. He does not practice what he supposedly preaches and certainly did not have to go to Denver b/c he had other places like TN instead. Just doesn’t sit well w/me either…hmmmm!:(

  9. Tisa says:

Excuse the above comment. Meant to say took something.

Are sharing, that they will be interviewing Tim Tebow on the air 06:30 AM EST tomorrow morning (2-10-16) with call in questions and answers from listeners..

  11. David says:

Tim Tebow still ranks as the 5th most popular QB in the league after not having played in 3 years. He moved up one place since 2014. Here is the 2016 poll.
    http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/pdf/2015/PPP_Release_National_20516.pdf

“Our look at the most and least popular Quarterbacks in the NFL finds
that….they’re the same person. 23% say Tom Brady is their favorite QB to 16% for Peyton Manning, 13% for Aaron Rodgers, and 11% for Cam Newton. Brady haseven more support when it comes to who people’s least favorite QB is, with 29% to 10% for Tim Tebow with no one else in double digits. We still throw Tebow in our polling because he’s such a lightning rod and despite not actually having played in the NFL in 3 years he comes out as the 5th most popular QB in the league at 7%, ahead of Ben Roethlisberger, Russell Wilson, Eli Manning, and Drew Brees. That’s thanks largely to Tebow finishing in a tie for second place among Republicans at 16%, behind Peyton Manning’s 20%.”

    • David says:

Q7 Given the choices of Tom Brady, Drew Brees,
Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, Cam Newton,
      Aaron Rodgers, Ben Roethlisberger, Tim
Tebow, and Russell Wilson who is your favorite
      NFL Quarterback?
      Tom Brady 23% ………………………………………………
      Drew Brees 4% ……………………………………………..
      Eli Manning 6% ……………………………………………..
      Peyton Manning 16% ……………………………………….
      Cam Newton 11% ……………………………………………
      Aaron Rodgers 13% …………………………………………
      Ben Roethlisberger 6% …………………………………..
      Tim Tebow 7% ………………………………………………
      Russell Wilson 6% …………………………………………
      Someone else / Don’t have a favorite 9%

Tebow’s going to be a guest star on some sitcom:
