Tim Tebow has not been on an NFL team’s regular-season roster since the 2012 season, and yet a recent poll revealed that the polarizing quarterback is still a fan favorite.

Tebowmania may have died down a bit over the years, but Tebow is more popular than stars such as Russell WilsonDrew Breesand Eli Manning.

What a world we live in.

Earlier this month, Public Policy Polling surveyed 410 fans to collect data. The questions ranged from who the fans thought would win Super Bowl 50 to who their favorite quarterback is. Some of the results will blow your mind.

When given the choice between Tebow, Wilson, Brees, Tom Brady,Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Cam NewtonAaron Rodgers and Ben Roethlisberger, fans produced these results:

America’s Favorite NFL QB
Player Percent of Votes
Tom Brady (New England Patriots) 23
Peyton Manning (Denver Broncos) 16
Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers) 13
Cam Newton (Carolina Panthers) 11
Tim Tebow (Free Agent) 7
Russell Wilson (Seattle Seahawks) 6
Eli Manning (New York Giants) 6
Ben Roethlisberger (Pittsburgh Steelers) 6
Drew Brees (New Orleans Saints) 4
Someone Else/No Favorite 9

Obviously, not every fan’s favorite team was represented in those choices. However, most fans still gave an answer rather than just saying “someone else.”

It’s interesting to note that each of the four quarterbacks who received fewer votes than Tebow, a 28-year-old quarterback who has just one career playoff victory, has at least one Super Bowl title on his respective resume. Of course, part of the reason the former first-round pick only has one postseason win is he just hasn’t been able to hold a starting job since the circus that was Tebowmania.

On the other hand, as popular as the former Denver Broncos star was during his playing days, he wasn’t loved by all. Here are the results from when fans were asked who their least favorite quarterback is:

America’s Least Favorite NFL QB
Player Percent of Votes
Tom Brady (New England Patriots) 29
Tim Tebow (Free Agent) 10
Ben Roethlisberger (Pittsburgh Steelers) 9
Cam Newton (Carolina Panthers) 9
Peyton Manning (Denver Broncos) 8
Russell Wilson (Seattle Seahawks) 6
Eli Manning (New York Giants) 4
Drew Brees (New Orleans Saints) 3
Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers) 2
Someone Else/No Favorite 19

Tebow is still as polarizing as ever.

5th place. That’s one place higher than last year. This poll is like the billboard in Denver. It’s the fans telling the NFL that they have one of their best QBs sitting on the sidelines. The fans are still right.

I just checked to see if they still have Tebow’s stats up on NFLdotcom.
    They have disappeared again.

I can’t find him in current or historical players or by position. This doesn’t help him to get a job when the GMs and coaches can’t see his stats. I wonder why the NFL is ashamed of his stats.
There is a stats page because I have it bookmarked but you can’t find it unless you know where it is.

They just put up a list of free agents and only 2 QBs on the list have thrown a TD slightly more often per pass attempt than Tim Tebow. Every QB on this NFL list had a job this year.

Kirk Cousins-starter for Washington Redskins TD every 20.2 attempts 5 TDs rushing
Matt Flynn-backup for New Orleans Saints TD every 21 attempts 1 rushing
Tim Tebow-TD every 21.2 attempts and threw fewer interceptions per attempt. Also scored 15 times rushing in his first 175 carries.

I guess Kaepernick didn’t want to play for Chip “Canuck” Kelly.

David: Can’t say I blame him b/c everyone knows what he did to Tebow…hmmm!:( Not surprised about locating stats due to the “crooked” biz of National Felon’s League imo.
