TIM TEBOW ROCK OUR SOCKS For Six-Figures

EXCLUSIVE

1027-tim-tebow-tmz-01Tim Tebow is on the verge of picking up a pretty sweet side gig in the fashion world — a huge offer to endorse socks.

TMZ Sports has learned Inspyr Socks reached out to the former NFL QB to peddle their sock line and the deal comes with a nice six-figure paycheck. The company even eludes to TT’s NFL struggles in their offer letter praising the way Tebow “handled yourself in the face of so much adversity and pressure.”

We’re told Tebow has yet to accept the offer, but if he does, Inspyr will be darn pumped.

I’m no photographer, but it looks like this one was taken with a camera made out of a potato.

  2. Sage says:

Not to kick a guy when he’s down, but this GIF of Tannehill is kind of amusing. But seriously, Dude’s footwork is special. And that’s what the pro game is about.

This list explains why Tebow isn’t playing in the NFL a hell of a lot more than comp%. If I thought NFL decision makers could read, I’d forward it to them.

That article could easily be titled “Why Tim Tebow is not Playing in The NFL”

    • brandi says:

Every excuse has been used. The latest is Defenses “caught up” with him supposedly evidenced by the record the end of the Broncos Season. Never mind injuries had caught up with them so much Broncos Defense, especially Secondary was so filled with Practice squad Players so lost they decided to use their one allotted Full Pads Practice for last 6 weeks to work on basic tackling. (So much for that vaunted Defense.)

Every kind of twisted logic, twisted statistics and just plain twistedness has been used to rationalize Tim’s being outcast in ways that are either his or his fans fault. not the NFL’s of course. 🙂

But vast majority of Fans don’t buy the excuses not that the NFL cares. It just keeps coming up with excuses why Playing him would be a disaster and massive losses, with nothing solid to back it up. Statistically it’s more likely NFL has Players who have raped more women than Tim has losses than it is he wouldn’t sustain at least his level of success in Denver.

      • Sage says:

Tim’s QB rating in the playoffs against the Patriots was 90, hardly trash for a 1st year starter in Foxboro. Not to mention broken ribs.

Gronk and Hernandez more than caught up to the Broncos defense, with the Pats scoring 35 first half points.

I like Champ Bailey, more or less. But the Broncos defense quit behind his poor leadership numerous times after 2005.

If you run Tebow out of town after 2011, what is it that you stand for? This action killed for me the illusion that a pro sports team represents any kind of laudible values.

        • Sage says:

It also killed for me the illusion that a team’s fanbase shares anything meaningful. We are all rooting for different things, for different reasons. Only the color of the jersey is shared.

        • ck says:

You nailed it btw, Sage. That is what REALLY HAPPENED b/c they folded and left Tebow defenseless and taking it upon himself to, again, put the whole team on his shoulders, as usual! Doesn’t know the word defeat and ALWAYS FINISHES STRONG!!! NOW THAT’S A LEADER!!!:)

  4. Sage says:

Looks like Chicago, in defeat, is loving on Cutler. It’s not HIS fault his unit punted with a minute left to allow Minnesota to win with the last scoring drive.

Foxball in Chicago with Cutler is sub-500. Cutler’s been in the league for, what, about 10 seasons?

    • David says:

All of the QBs learned a lesson from how the NFL treated Tebow over his completion percentage. Cutler is playing their game by keeping his completion percentage high and throwing short passes. The QBs are protecting themselves and the game got more boring than ever. However, the New Orleans vs. New York game was a passing clinic with 13 passing TDs by Brees-7 and E. Manning-6.

  5. Sage says:

Wow. Are the Bears really 2 and 5?

    Tebow saved Fox’s bacon.

  6. Danny says:

and in Dallas…3rd string Matt Cassell’s underwhelming performance led to a Dallas defeat today.

    13/25 for 97 yards, no TD’s.

In fact, no TD’s by the offense at all…4 FG’s was all the Cowboys could muster.

Lots of Tebow/Dallas chatter on Twitter tonight.

  7. David says:

Florio reported tonight that the Jets are already on the phone looking for available QBs. They will definitely get Matt Flynn back and maybe Coach Bowles liked what he saw when they played Tebow. Fitz and Smith were both injured in today’s game.
Josh McCown added a rib injury to his shoulder injury but said he will play depending on how he feels the next few days.

Ryan Mallett – QB – Free Agent
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Jets are not interested in free agent QB Ryan Mallett.
New York lost Ryan Fitzpatrick to what looks like a multiple-week injury and backup Geno Smith was battered and bruised against the Raiders, but those issues are not enough for the Jets to kick the tires on Mallett. Not a particularly good quarterback to begin with, Mallett’s attitude issues could make it difficult for him to find another job.

Geno Smith (shoulder) said he is “pretty confident” he will play Week 9 against the Jaguars.
Smith has X-rays on his shoulder after the game. There has been no official word on the results, but it sounds like they came back clean. Smith may also be dealing with sore ribs after taking a huge shot to the midsection late in the game. If he does play, Smith will be on the QB2 map next week against Jacksonville.

    • Sage says:

It seems like at some point someone would just say WTF, and turn to Tebow

      • brandi says:

It has to be an Owner and they have to be all in. In any world other than the NFL some Team would have done so even without Tim’s record of success simply based on his huge popularity. But the NFL is convinced it isn’t just some pro league. Roger Goodell was famous for bullying NFL employees who were negotiating deals with Sponsors, Vendors, etc. for not bullying enough with “We’re the NFL!” This we aren’t mere mortals attitude comes right from the top. They don’t need more Fans. They’re the NFL. They don’t need to put up with hordes of media and fans that other leagues would salivate over. they’re the NFL.

Buzzy’s already said what we’ve discussed here numerous times. To these Front Offices Tim is nothing but an annoyance because he brings huge popularity and all of the “downsides” that huge popularity brings. Everyone else puts up with the downsides because the upsides of huge popularity make it well worth it. But…they’re the NFL. They don’t need more popularity. They don’t need more Fans. They don’t need more Media attention and exposure. because they’re the NFL. The mighty juggernaut that will never sink. Tim Tebow. They don’t need no stinkin’ Tim Tebow. 🙂

  8. ck says:

I could see Tebow selling these b/c he has lived it!

  9. jason says:

The whine and butt hurt is so funny with you all. Lol lol lol. This is why not one of you will ever matter to any NFL team. F’n idiots. Lol!!!!!

Buzzy Says : you are getting to the edge again.
