SUCH BAD PLAY WITH A TT BOYCOTT

Ok, maybe my 2-14 prediction was too optimistic

  4. andrea says:

A loss by the cheating Patriots would be nice. I second Buzzy on that.

Pretty accurate assessment of the Eagles I think. Earlier this season I thought they may beat the Giants but as the season has progressed I’m not so sure now.

Chip has stated that this team is good, it just needs to execute. There are fans that say the OL is the issue. I think I may have said it before, Chip (whether by design or by accident) built this team for Tebow and now he has the wrong QB to run this offense.

I think that DeMarco Murray’s hamstring starts to “feel” a lot better if he got the Tebow reps and started running up some yards.

An immobile QB WILL get killed from this OL and that’s what happening to SB now. Teams are not respecting the QB’s ability to run so they are just teeing off.

Keep the team, just change one player…TEBOW!

On a side note, keep a sharp eye in the next couple of weeks on the AZ transaction wire for Matt Barkley. The conditional pick I think kicks in on week 6 if Barkley isn’t cut.

What a boring game tonite by two NE REJECTS TT MUCH BETTER THAN BOTH

For what it’s worth, a hat tip to Tebow from the NFL’s twitter feed:

Through the hands of the defender. Into the arms of @Broncos WR Brandon Lloyd. Tebow Magic. #tbt snpy.tv/1OoFkLI

      • ck says:

David: Guess Elrot could not stand that perfectly thrown and caught Tebow and Lloyd winning connection which would have easily been a lethal weapon that would guarantee breaking all his “OLD” records and then ruin his standings in The Bronco’s history/records…HMMM!
(Thanks for the great link, David!)

    • Sage says:

Lloyd made a great play. He had the best hands in the NFL. As soon as Tebow became the Broncos’ starter in game 6 the next year, Elway gave Lloyd away.

I enjoy Brandi, but her thinking Elway was any kind of Tebow supporter seems insupportable. He flew to California a half dozen times to watch Luck play. He wanted to “suck for Luck,” and teams with Tebow just don’t suck.

      • ck says:

Sage: Think u r more than 100% correct there, Sage.

      • brandi says:

I get that alot and it’s cool. 🙂

John Elway is not his Father’s Son. John has never been able to get out of the way of his own ego. But he didn’t have it in for Tebow in the ways some of Tim’s Supporters and Detractors think he did. That being said, John will always be about John first.

        • Sage says:

Right, Brandi. As a long-time Elway/Broncos watcher, I felt Elway was actually jealous of what Tebow could accomplish.

That may seem far fetched. But early in his career, Elway had a well deserved reputation as a “Houdini,” based on an uncanny ability to elude the grasp of defenders. He made some marvelous plays on his feet, and he did that for much of his 15-year career. Astonishingly, though, Tim eclipsed any of that in his very first game as a starter, running *up the middle* and *through defenders* for a 40-yard touchdown. I can’t recall ever seen a more determined running play.

Add that to things like a 15-point comeback in 3 minutes, and multiple come-back wins in 2011, and the extraordinary overtime win against the Steelers, and Tebow’s potential seemed (to me) almost limitless. But what we saw from Elway was a glowering slow-clap after the Jets game.

It’s NOT okay to snuff the pro football career of a budding Hall of Famer.

          • brandi says:

Yeah I don’t think Elway tried to snuff Tim’s Career. If there’s one person you can point that finger at it’s Rex Ryan. Rex is the primary person behind the change of tone in the New York Newspapers and other Sports Media about Tim.

He came into New York as the presumptive Starter for the Jets. It wasn’t a question of if but when. But Rex outdid Chip Kelly in making sure he trashed Tim’s reputation within the league because he’s Rex. He’s always perfect and if anything doesn’t work out it’s always somebody else’s fault.

The Broncos tried to dispel the bad rep Rex was giving Tim at the Combines right after Tim’s Jets Season telling the teams and Media the Jets had “blown it” (Broncos Execs words) by not just handing the ball to Tebow and letting him Win Games for him. The ONLY Media person who gave that any amount of “air time” was Ian Rapoport. The rest wouldn’t touch it even though it’s one heckuva a juicy story even if those sucked into the NFL Vortex wouldn’t want to agree with the Broncos.

That’s how messed up things are. NFL Media didn’t even want to jump on an opportunity to humiliate the Jets.

Although I don’t buy into the Anti-Christian thing as much as some others do. There is no question that Tim has been on a form of double secret probation and NFL Media got the message. Why the Owners would go along with it is anybody’s guess. But the NFL pretty much messes everything up. I said this for years before DeflateGate and the NFL’s incompetence and dishonesty being shoved right into even the NFL Media’s faces in ways they could no longer ignore.

Yet here we are. Things have quieted down and that same NFL Media is right back to ignoring just how dysfunctional the NFL truly is. It’s completely insane and something no other Sports Media would do. If this was Baseball and the Baseball Writers watched the league destroying itself they would be all over it every day. But then again they’d never call millions of adoring Fans a “circus”. They’d call it evidence that Baseball is still America’s Pastime. Only NFL Media goes along with the ridiculous notion the league doesn’t need all the Fans it can get.

John Elway is arrogant and self-centered beyond description. But he has alot of company. He’s with the right league for it. They all are.

          • Sage says:

I agree, Elway didn’t go so far as to deliberately snuff Tim’s career, but kicking him out of the Broncos house was part of the formula. After the playoff loss to the Patriots, Tim had lots of detractors, and Elway’s action seemed to validate that.

Rex is the black-hooded executioner, of course.

I don’t feel sorry for Tim, but for myself as a fan. Watching Elway for 15 years was a lot of fun. Tebow would have been even more fun.

          • David says:

Speaking of Albert Breer, he just came out against the 2nd amendment. Are the people in the NFL pushing a political agenda? How does that affect Tim Tebow?

    • ck says:

Danny: That was a GREAT moment too and remember watching it…then Elrot did the unthinkable, yet, AGAIN!!! Well, at least it is forever etched in memory and on tape so they can’t lie about that! Thanks for the info.
