  1. Bigfan says:

It is over for him at least now? A little soul searching and prayer time.

  2. Danny says:

Total shock and amazement. I gave it a very slim chance that this was going to happen. Somwthing had to happen within the last few hours. More thoughts later.

  3. Bigfan says:

    Kelly talks in 30 minutes.

  4. ck says:

This is not what we were expecting and glad I didn’t buy an Eagles Jersey…Kelly sure had some hidden cards imo! At least Tebow and Fans can be proud that he competed and gave 100% as well as having the “COURAGE OF HIS CONVICTIONS!” You can’t keep a good man down and believe there is something GREAT in his future! God bless Tebow!!!

  5. David Oliver says:

Very hard to comprehend… BUT.. Tebow will JUST NOT stay within THEIR constraints!! (He continues to exceed their “Permissible NFL Christian
Visibility LIMITS – WITHOUT FEAR, Continuing to Glory Christ !!)

Even up to the last minute in interviews HE WOULD NOT BE A SECRET
SERVICE CHRISTIAN.. Sharing God, His Goodness and his Scriptures…
They (The Elitist Power Broking NFL Controllers) CANNOT STAND THIS and
Evidently NOW – will NOT Have to..

In my ignorance.. I thought that Kelly could resist “THEIR”
    INFLUENCE .. BUT apparently NOT!

Tebow Bold for God Always !!

    • jp says:

I think the fragile Sanchez personality determined cutting Tebow. Kelly
probably figured if he has to go to Sanchez the pressure with T in the wings would be too much. Maybe he figures if Sanchez bombs he can re-sign T. Two points that I’ve been stressing: BRADFORD IS NOT A PROVEN WINNER.. AND SANCHEZ COULD NOT BEAT A 3-11 TEAM TO GET INTO THE PLAYOFFS
I DIDNT LIKE MOST OF THE PHILLY VIBE SO I HOPE THIS BLOWS UP IN THEIR FACES… THY THINK THEY ARE 12-4 13-3… WE WILL SEE… WISH I HAVE T ATTITUDE AND NOT BE BITTER… THE THOUGHT OF JACK TAMPA BEARS TENN JETS
HOUSTON AND ALL THE OTHER LOSERS WITH THEIR 2-14 TO 5-11 RECORDS BUT FIND SOLACE THAT THEY DONT HAVE T IS LIKE BEING IN THE TWILIGHT ZONE

      • ck says:

jp: You might have a point b/c he supposedly did not want Kelly signing him in the first place, according to rumors. Sancrapper is pretty devious in my book!!! Guess “BUTTFUMBLE” can really live up to his moniker now, HAHA!

  6. Rickdove says:

If the eagles don’t pick up a 3rd qb. They will probably bring tebow back. No way eagles can go thru the season without a 3rd qb.

    • David Oliver says:

      AGAIN – THE ANSWER IS:

NFL BLACKBALL OF TIM TEBOW.. CONTINUES !! EAGLE “KELLY CHARADE” IS OVER!!
Very hard to comprehend… BUT.. Tebow will JUST NOT stay within THEIR constraints!!

    • ck says:

Rickdove: Guess we will have to wait and see if they do the right thing afterall and resign Tebow…realize life is not fair, but this TAKES THE PROVERBIAL CAKE!!!:(

  7. Bubbaelvis says:

I am in complete shock. I must be completely blind because I saw what Tim did Thursday night. I want to believe something is going on and they will bring him back but right now can’t see It. Maybe they know he will be available if QB gets hurt. Who knows maybe we are all delusional. It has been a great and fun pre- season getting to watch him play. Haters are gonna have a field day. Be blessed everyone and thanks for this foru.

    • ck says:

Bubbaelvis: seems like we/T2 have been this route before due to extreme bias on the part of the NFL!!! Actually, he is more valuable now that he has the Eagles playbook memorized and think that a team who wants to beat Philly might want that info.; however, do not think Tebow will sign for that low level of a reason as he has integrity plus CLASS!!!

    • David Oliver says:

      Bubbaelvis..

That is an absolute .. how Tim Played against Jets..

I saw written reports, interviews, and several sport’s reporters
on different media and a great majority were impressed with
Tim’s performance to the point of actually changing their long
term position against him – to now rooting for him..also fans
      on web site forums..

So .. this begs the question.. Chip seemed to indicate many times
the performance in this last game would have a deciding and
significant impact and result as to who would be their 3rd QB.

DUH.. where did all this propaganda “garbage” come from and go to?

Somehow for “SOME” reason this WHOLE “Competition” was a FACADE,

and I do NOT NOW believe that TIM EVER HAD A CHANCE..

The NFL TIM TEBOW BLACKBALL IS ALIVE AND WELL and NOW once again..

      Tim’s REALITY !!

  8. Pam says:

I think maybe Tim said it all the other day when he said he would never compromise his character for a position….he said that in an interview when asked about competing with Barkley, but, it may have had a double meaning.

  9. jp says:

Main Drudge Rept. headline TEBOW CUT

  10. ck says:

Well, I know what I am doing…cutting the NFL Channel and THEY ARE FIRED AFTER TUESDAY!!! Taking the money and putting it into where it will do the most good charity-wise!!!:D (More than likely Tim’s Foundation!:D)

  11. PhillyFred says:

I don’t think Kelly had any real intention of Tebow making the team from the get-go. This is Chip’s 3rd year with the Eagles, he could have brought him into camp last year, or the year before. Tebow is just not the type of QB he likes for his offense, he was quoted as saying so years ago.

I think Chip brought him in as a favor, doing him a solid, because of the work and commitment Tim has made in the past several years to keeping in top shape and working on his mechanics, that he felt Tim deserved the opportunity to at least go through some team’s camp and preseason for the practice reps and maybe showing other teams he still can play.

I am not pissed at Chip, at least he had the guts to bring him on the team through the preseason, something none of the other GMs or coaches had.

Hopefully some other team will have the courage to sign him. I doubt it though, they are too afraid of the media s***storm that always comes with it and that it could cost them their jobs.

    • jp says:

CHIPS GREAT OFFENSE COULD NOT WIN A PLAYOFF GAME WITH THE NFL RUSHING LEADER AND COULD NOT EVEN GET IN THE PLAYOFFS WITH THE GIANTS AND WASH IN THEIR DIV. YEAH T WOULD HAVE SLOWED DOWN THE JUGGERNAUT

  12. Cartman says:

Well it’s been great spending the past several years reading the posts here. My wife enjoys football but I only started following for Tebow. So this is it for me.

It’s not that the Eagles cut Tim, it’s that Arizona signed Matt Barkley. Eliot Shorr-Parks did a breakdown of their camp numbers showing Tim beat Barkley on almost every meaningful stat, then add http://www.coldhardfootballfacts.com/content/tim-tebow-could-have-saved-5-gms-7-coaches-and-9-teams/20537/ and http://www.tebowzone.net/2015/06/commentary-tebow-a-better-bet-than-manning-tks-cartman/ and there is NO WAY IN HADES that Matt Barkley is a better QB than Tebow. Zero chance.

I think about the Deflategate framing of Tom Brady, who by all the facts is an innocent man, and the NFL really is as crooked as boxing used to be (may still be for all I know). “The fix is in” as far as I’m concerned. Are coaches and GMs trying to compare Tim to Aaron Rogers? Because if you compare him to the bottom half of starters and all back-ups (including Sanchez), he belongs in this league.

    Unreal.

Bradford is going to get hurt and Sanchez is going to wilt under pressure. So the Eagles WILL be getting a third QB. Is it going to be RGIII? Good luck with your culture-first experiment Chip Kelly.

Finally, I suspect many, if not most of us, here are Believers. But this site and commenters have never come across as a “bunch of Bible thumping religious nutters” as the Tebow haters would have people believe we all are. We’ve long brought out the statistical PROOF Time Tebow is qualified, at some level and on some team at least, to be a quarterback in the NFL. And THAT is why so many people believe there’s some sort of blackball conspiracy — or league-wide cowardice — keeping teams from signing Tim.

Thanks for reading my rant. If this is it I won’t be seeing you folks around here in the future. I kept the faith for all this time after he was traded from Denver, then cut from New York and New England, but if Matt Barkley got signed and Tebow didn’t it seems that this is the end of the line. Farewell.

    • jp says:

DRPO IN FROM TIME TO TIME… YOU NEVER KNOW WITH T.. YOU DO GREAT POSTS

    • ck says:

Cartman: Nice post and who knows “what is around that corner”! Best wishes to all in the future and, especially, to Tebow and his loyal fan base too! Think something will open up for Tebow b/c “God makes a way where there seemingly is no way” and so far that has been the ABSOLUTE TRUTH!” Thanks for putting into words what most have experienced regarding the ups and downs of believing by faith which, at times, has been an EXTREME endurance test patience-wise!:D

    • David says:

Excellent points Cartman. We know Kelly lied when he said that Tebow is not good enough to be a 3rd string QB for the Eagles at this time.
Tebow QBR 90.7 3 TDs not good enough
Barkley QBR 57.5 0 TDS signed by Arizona
Ponder QBR 74.4 0 TDs sought by Eagles to replace Tebow

      • ck says:

Unbelievable and he has ALL the intangibles plus! No explanation is good enough impo! Guess they won’t like it when their ratings start to go back down lol!

  13. ck says:

Will say I am surprised, just not pleasantly. Disappointed YES and wanted to believe that Kelly was the REAL DEAL just like TEBOW!! They apparently want no optimistic venues in the NFL only CROOKED TO THE CORE AND FELONS!!!
Tebow is way above this crowd of MISFITS!!! GLAD GOD SHOWED THEM FOR WHAT THEY ARE “VIPERS”!!
Note: Coach Kelly looked somewhat uncomfortable for the most part and will give him credit for having a certain sense of decency at that even if it was part of the dirty deeds the NFL condones/pressures others to conform to in all aspects of that low life organization!!!:(

  14. David says:

Kelly mentioned Trey Burton as an emergency QB twice in the press conference. That may have been the plan all along. His comment that Tebow wasn’t good enough to be a 3rd QB on the Eagles is his opinion but will hurt Tebow going forward. There are reports that they are wanting to sign Ponder who scored 0 TDs in the preseason. He only allowed Tebow to play with the 2s and 3s in the last game and he had a QBR of 129 in the first half and 117 for the game. In the early games Kelly said that 3 of the receivers just joined camp 1 week before the preseason. Tebow got to play with them and explains the slow start. Ponder’s QBR is 74.73 and Tebow had a QBR of 90.7 in the preseason which is above average.
    Tebow

It’s time for Christians to vote with their feet and their wallets.

    • ck says:

David: Big AMEN to that and intend to do JUST THAT! Thanks for the stats and we definitely know who won the QB position…TEBOW! Nice of Kelly to lie in order to make himself credible!!!:(

  15. Pam says:

Tim just posted this on his Facebook………….

Thanks Philadelphia Eagles and Coach Kelly for giving me the opportunity to play the game I love!

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 ‪#‎Blessed‬

    • jp says:

THIS WHOLE THING COULD HAVE BEEN FOR KELLY TO GET MORE NOTERITY AND ENHANCE HISREPUTATION AS A REBEL. GOOD FOR CHIP AND THE EAGLE TALKERS FANS AND TEAM… HOWEVER LOOK WHAT HAPPENNED IN DENVER… I REMBER ATLANTA SHUT DOWN MANNING HIS FIRST YEAR WITH THE BRONKS… OH I HOPE
      THE FALCONS EAT THE EAGLES

      • ck says:

jp: It will be interesting to see what happens next and will not be a fan of either less than QB the Eagles have on their “lots to be desired” so-called 53 roster! Exceptions for Riley Cooper and a few others. Thanks for letting me vent…very frustrated but have peace that Tebow will come out above it all!!!

    • ck says:

Pam: Thanks for posting…Always a “CLASS ACT” w/TEBOW!

    • Bigfan says:

Thanks Pam. Timmy will make the right decision now God has a plan and Timmy knows that!

God Bless you Tim Tebow you are going to be even greater!

  16. Bigfan says:

Understanding Gods will for us is part of life as a Christian. It is much easier to recognize when you out of it than when you in it…ask Paul after three tries.

  17. ck says:

Like “looking through a glass darkly”? Hindsight…

  18. RICK says:

Although he was rated as one of the worst #1 picks ever in the history of football, something I don’t agree with by the way, as Bronco fan we got a lot out of Timmy in 2011, Timmy has his place in Bronco history. He won a playoff game period. Its his fan base that is why he cant will never get another NFL job! I completely agree Timmy is as good or better then most of the 3d stringers you could include 2nd string QBs its his fan base that black balled him. I will admit I was never a Timmy fan, I didn’t like the pick, still don’t but I will give him his due, extremely hard worker impeccable character and should be on a NFL roster.. Its you the Tebow fans that costed Timmy his chance in the NFL. Always remember that you divide fan bases its a shame but this is squarely your fault, Timmy is good but not Andrew Luck good its ok most aren’t. But it was this reality that all you Gator fans just couldn’t get passed, the NFL isn’t college. When Timmy was the Broncos QB you were all the prime reason I wanted him off the team, you divide fans! Anyway I will watch Timmy on Good Morning America and he really is a very good game day host.

    • David says:

It took Luck 3 years to catch up with Tebow’s passing stats.

In their first 16 games of play:
Tebow threw 19 TDs in 374 attempts with 47.3% 9 ints averaging a TD every 19.6 attempts 15.3 yards per completion scoring every 9.3 completions

Luck threw 23 TDs in 627 attempts with 54% 18 ints averaging a TD every 27.26 attempts 12.9 yards per completion scoring every 14.73 completions

  19. Bigfan says:

Thanks Rick. It’s all good however does not matter God is BIGGER than your snipe.

Timmy will prevail in doing God’s GREAT things. Two National Cships the Heisman and one NFL Playoff win and that is just Football let alone all he has done for humanity.

Enjoy the ride no one like an “I told you so” after the fact!

Be careful when messing with God’s children…

    • ck says:

Bigfan: Couldn’t agree more…”SNIPES” and they get emboldened when they think Tebow and his fans are facing what they so wrongly envision! Tebow will always be admired and a WINNER…NO ONE CAN TAKE THAT AWAY EVER!!!
Besides, he uses all negativity to his ADVANTAGE AND THAT JUST MAKES HIM MORE DETERMINED EVERY TIME!!! GO TEBOW!!!
PLUS, THE GATORS ARE WINNING W/NEW QB GRIER WHO REMINDS ME OF TEBOW AT UF!!!:D

  20. RICK says:

Once again my point to all of you, you are the reason Timmy is not on a roster and never again will be.

your all live in fantasy land!

Any God Bless the Denver Broncos and Thank you John Elway for not getting sucked into Timmy and his fan base!
