  1. David says:

Chicago Bears cut David Fales who has an undisclosed illness. That leaves Jimmy Clausen backing up Jay (Jake) Cutler and 52 players on the current roster. Could it….Nah. When has John Fox ever needed Tebow?

    • Sage says:

Tim would do really well in Chicago by the lake, or at Arrowhead in Kansas City. Both of those places are cold in the winter and they could have such an incredible home field advantage with Tim leading both a passing and running attack.

MANY OF THEM STILL ALONG WITH THE PRESS STILL THINK HE IS A GOOD QB FOX DOSENT HAVE THE GUTS TO WIN WITH T AGAIN..THE DENVER FANS FORCED A WINNER T

        • Sage says:

I’d have to agree about Chicago fans being among the stupidest. They bought Cutler hook, line and sinker. And they delude themselves into thinking the fan who caught the foul ball cost them a world series.

          Places have personalities, don’t they?

      • David says:

I think this makes about the 13th team to go with 2 QBs this season. That’s a lot of jobs. Even Jacksonville went with 2, Bortles and Henne. Rotoworld has Tebow ranked 4th on the depth chart of unsigned free agent QBs. Tim has scored more per game with fewer turnovers than Yates or Ponder and beaten Ponder head to head in 2011 when he was at Minn.

        Current Free Agent QBs
        QB
        1 T.J. Yates
        2 Christian Ponder
        3 Seth Lobato
        4 Tim Tebow
        5 Ryan Lindley
        6 Matt Flynn
        7 David Fales
        8 Dustin Vaughan
        9 Thad Lewis
        10 Bryan Bennett
        11 Phillip Sims
        12 Jerry Lovelocke
        13 Chandler Harnish
        14 Chase Rettig
        15 Josh Freeman
        16 Cody Fajardo
        17 Shane Carden
        18 R.J. Archer
        19 Jeff Tuel
        20 Pat Devlin
        21 Jake Waters
        22 Jake Heaps
        23 Josh Johnson

        • ck says:

Thanks David for providing proof that he is better than all the “free agent QBs” except for three out of 23…NFL is biased to the umpteenth degree!

        • Sage says:

Interesting to know what they’re thinking.

And I’ll bet Tim has more touchdowns today (32) than the rest of the list will ever have combined, for all eternity.

      • ck says:

Sage: Waiting for JF to prove everybody right when there is no one to save his bacon…if anybody owes Tebow, it’s him jmo!

        • Danny says:

ck: I don’t think that JF really understood what he had in Denver. It was probably some awkward scheming since zone read wasn’t in JF’s wheelhouse and Tebow did the rest.

We all have fond memories of that great run back in 2011.

Fox has been riding that wave ever since.

          • ck says:

Danny: Totally agree…free ride where he is concerned and how did he thank him? Seems like there is a place for losers but not WINNERS in The Not For Long League! Appears that he (JF) will fit right in w/Bears as they are equal w/his skill set; i.e., an unproductive mess!!

    • David says:

There are 16 teams with 2 QBs on their roster according to
      http://www.rotoworld.com/teams/depth-charts/nfl.aspx
Some of them may have backups on their practice squads. If any of these QBs are injured most of these teams will have to look outside of their team for an immediate replacement. They could take one from another team’s practice squad, hire a free agent, or trade for a current player on another active roster. Tim has learned the Patriots offense(2QBs), the Eagles(2.5 QBs), and has played with Fox and Adam Gase who are in Chicago(2QBs) and Coach McCoy who is in San Diego with(2QBS). Tebow should be a logical replacement for just about any team if he has any friends in this league and if it’s about winning.

TBRIDGE LOOKS LIKE A LOSER T WITH PERCY H AGAIN. PETERSON MILLER..WE ARE ALL GOING NUTS WATCHING THIS PLETHORA OF LOSERS INCL THE FOUR LAST NITE WHILE W FIGHT FOR T

    • ck says:

jp: Although, it is somewhat entertaining to see what happens when you make the wrong decision regarding a PROVEN WINNER AND END UP LOSING INSTEAD!

  3. Sage says:

Jaguars QB Blake Bortles on fans questioning play-calling: “it’s like kindergarteners saying something to college kids.”

    Blake gon’ flunk.

    • jp says:

Sage when you thinke you heard and seen everything the biggest first round bust can’t keep his mouth shut on the way to a2-14 season.
LISTENING TO pILLY RADIO I JUST THOUGHT OF THE BIGGEST THING ABOUT THE ATLANTA: 1. ON THIRD AND 1 HASENT A GOOD COACH ALREADY DECIDED WHAT HE WILL DO ON FOURTH DOWN.2 WHAT ARE THE ODDS THAT TIM TEBOW AND DEMARCO MURRARY WILL GAIN ONE YARD WITH TWO TRIES. 99%… ALREADY KELLY HAS BLOWN A GAME BY CUTTING TEBOW.. HIS 50 MILLION QB BLEW A GAME THAT WAS HANDED TO HIM ON A SILVER PLATTER BY THE LOUSY ATLANTA QB.. TEBOW STARTS
      PHILLY 30-ATA 13

      • Sage says:

I agree, Kelly has shot himself in the foot by cutting and diss’ing an epic player. So if the Eagles continue to struggle, I may laugh heartily.

But I wish I understood what happened with Kelly at the end of preseason. He was pretty respectful right until the end. Somehow, some way, I want Tim to get picked up again. I’m wishing Kelly or others could or would see the light. There is great football history waiting to be written.

        • Sage says:

Same with the Jags, of course.

Players like Bortles seem so un-self-aware when they make comments like that. Throwing your 5th pick-6 is NOT okay.

          • jp says:

SAGE CHECK BRANDI BLOG AND THE COMMENTS SECTION BETWEEN BRANDI AND ME.
HER SOURCES INDICATE THE OCOORDINATER WAS KNOCKING T ALL CAMP. AND AFTER
THE JESTS GAME HE WAS ENRAGED ABOUT HOW TEBOW WAS GETTING ALL THE ATTENTION

          • Sage says:

So typical, JP. All it takes is one enemy per team.

Shurmer is living off prestige he gained between 1994 and 1998 when he rode an elite athlete, Brett Favre. Green Bay hasn’t missed Shurmer at all.

Jealousy and envy have been a big part of what stands in Tebow’s way.

          • Danny says:

In comparison, Tebow has not thrown a pick 6 in his career. Blake pick 6 Bortles certainly isn’t good enough

  4. jp says:

SAGE CHECK THE BLOG… I THINK IT WAS KELLY WHO WAS ENRAGED

  5. Bigfan says:

So it appears in connecting the dots it was the “Tebowmania” distraction in the locker room and game that got him released NOT his play.

    • brandi says:

I think it was Tim’s Thursday Night performance. All America (except those few determined to look down at him) saw why they fell in love in 2011.

Chip had a full scale QB Controversy on his hands. Cutting him’s one thing…though trading would have been better. But his comments afterwards are inexcusable. And tampering with Tim’s Career in the worst way.

      • David says:

Arizona could sign Tebow and cut Barkley and save their 7th round draft pick. He has to be on the active roster for 6 weeks before the Eagles get the draft pick. If they love Barkley so much they could put him on the practice squad. But, I suspect that Arizona took a sudden interest in Barkley so Philly could justify cutting Tebow. The whole deal looked contrived. Why the sudden interest when Barkley had his worst game of the preseason? And why are they ignoring Tebow who was better and would come without the loss of a draft pick. It’s not about football or good business decisions. It’s about keeping Tebow off the field and out of the stadium on game day.

  6. shaztah says:

I am going to post on Twitter about how all of Tebow’s fans who go to games for whatever team they support should chant Tebow’s name whenever the sucky QB starts messing up. I would love to see how the NFL would react if in ALL 16 stadiums fans were chanting T.E.B.O.W!! I just want to see him play, I was so excited this year and now not at all. My hubby signed me up for a fantasy league and 2 days after our draft Tim was cut I am still upset! I agree with Brandi, the simple cutting would have been ok but for Chip Kelly to say what he did was ridiculous! I truly hope they lose a lot of games this year.

    • jp says:

When you strip away all the bs… Kelly cuts and trashes T..THEN DOESENT HAVE HIS TEAM READY FOR A LOW TABLE TEAM WITH PERHAPS THE WORST DEFENSE IN THE NFL..HIS FIFTY MILL QB CAN’T HANDLE MIN PRESSURE AND CANT GET ONE YARDS TO CLINCH THE..TURNS THE BALL OVER TWICE..STRANGE PHILLY IS BLAMING THE DEFENSE COORD.HOW ARE THEY SIX POINT GAV OVER DALLAS EVEN WITH BRAYANT OUT

      • David says:

        Eliot Shorr-Parks ✔ @EliotShorrParks
For all of the talk of Bradford being a victim of bad offensive line play last night, 41 of his 52 attempts came with no pressure.

  7. David says:

    Eliot Shorr-Parks ✔ @EliotShorrParks
Per @ScottHanson, only 12% of teams in the past 25 years that started 0-2 have made the playoffs.

Tebow did it starting with a 1-4 record. Losing to Dallas this weekend will just about end the Eagles’ hopes of going to the playoffs.

  8. David says:

Here is Bradford’s throwing chart against the Falcons, per @PFF. #Eagles pic.twitter.com/i4fwa3r0TD

    • Danny says:

The only reason why this game was as close as it was is that Matt Ryan threw 2 picks too.

Anyone who believes Bradford was shredding ATL simply were mesmerized by the yardage, not the end result.

People are blaming Parkey for missing that field goal in the 4th and blowing the game. The difference was actually the awful Bradford pick and the resulting TD by ATL at the end of the half.

The big factor in the Cowboys game is going to be which version of Tony Romo shows up. If good Romo shows up, Eagles will be 0-2.

      • David says:

I agree. Bradford is still playing like he did for the Rams. If the Eagles win against Dallas then they are contenders, but if they lose, Dallas will have 2 conference wins and the Redskins are not good enough to make a difference.

        • ck says:

David: Know who I will be pulling for and it will be harder for Chip Kelly to keep his “game face” if he loses to DC imo. At least the debates were entertaining! Plus, still like ME (Eckel) better.:)

      • ck says:

        Danny: Totally agree.

    • ck says:

David: The article listed that Bradford was pounded into the turf at least 8 times and he performed less than due to pressure. Someone stated looks like the same old Bradford.

      • brandi says:

I don’t think the Eagles did their homework on the Atlanta. This is not last year’s Falcons and that’s been real clear for at least the last couple months. But it looked like the Eagles thought they were facing the Falcons Defense that was there last year before Dan Quinn became Head Coach and brought in a bunch of new Players and an entirely differently philosophy.

  9. TheMascotArmy says:

Fro made the point about Matt Ryan’s pick in the endzone. Guy was wide open, but just slightly under thrown and intercepted. Throwing the ball has that risk. That is exactly the kind of play Tebow avoided in the preseason by running that(reversed) TD on first down. Not that the haters will ever realize that.

    • jp says:

Turnovers are the killers.. The analyst. Dont get it…would rather jump on T

    • David says:

Coach Fox was a major beneficiary of Tim Tebow’s philosophy on turnovers and he knew it. I heard Fox say 2 days ago in a press conference that stats are for losers, it’s W’s that matter. That’s why I am surprised that he didn’t bring Tebow into Chicago instead of Clausen.
This clip is from 2011 and shows that Fox knew that Tim’s protection of the ball was the reason they were winning.
A really smart throw. Tebow beaches the ball.
      http://www.nfl.com/videos/denver-broncos/09000d5d82425339/Fox-on-Tebow-s-smarts
“Now let me just show you where this guy (TT) is real smart. Now here’s a quick route. Now everybody in the stadium thinks he can’t throw…because he throws it right in the dirt right in front of me. He’s going to the outside guy and he saw color so he just beached it…which is a really smart throw. That’s why we’ve been able to win a couple of games because we’re not throwing so many interceptions.” John Fox
Tebow threw only 2 interceptions in his first 9.5 games in 2011 and Denver went 7-2.

      • ck says:

David: Remember seeing that clip and surprised they still have it available…bet Fox did not like giving up his “cush” office etc. Elrot & Pizza M. decided his fate like they did Tebow’s…only he did not defend Tebow when they did that to him so, it was only fitting that the same became his (JF) experience as well!
