Tim Tebow’s ascending with Eagles, and nobody cares

August 3, 2015 | 10:09pm

PHILADELPHIA — Tebow Mania has cooled considerably, even though speculation continues to build that Tim Tebow will make the Eagles’ regular-season roster.

Normally the focus of intense media attention, Tebow had just a handful of requests from reporters through the first two days of training camp that started Monday and has yet to speak to them.

On the field, Tebow worked ahead of Matt Barkley with the third-team offense Monday and showed uncharacteristic accuracy, completing 11 of 14 passes by one count. Tebow also carried the ball on several designed runs.

Philadelphia coach Chip Kelly isn’t saying much, but it’s Tebow’s running ability — especially in short yardage and on two-point conversions — that is prompting Eagles watchers to continue to buzz that he will end up being kept.

Here again. The NFL Media began trying to say TebowMania is dead. THEN, today the Eagles held an open practice. Over 20,000 showed up and every report is the only one the Fans were interested in was Tim Tebow.

Beat Reporters already calling it the wildest, loudest experience in their careers and talk of today having been the most excitement in Eagles History.

Eagles Player Brandon Graham said of it afterwards… “Tim Tebow for Mayor”

Glad he is not talking to the media and this post was before 8/4/15 so this reporter is going to have to update his incorrect assumptions on “TEBOWMANIA!”
