Tim Tebow, Riley Cooper get flashback to Florida days

Originally written on Campus Sports Net  |  Last updated 8/24/15
Tim Tebow and Riley Cooper are together again. The quarterback and wide receiver — who were once roommates during their playing days at the University of Florida — are now teammates with the Philadelphia Eagles. As it turns out, the two players are able to get up close and personal for yet another step in their careers. On Monday, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer shared a photo that shows Tebow and Cooper have lockers that are side by side inside of the Eagles locker room. Cooper, meanwhile, is all but guaranteed his spot. Unless Tebow is able to impress head coach Chip Kelly enough to offer him a job with the team long-term, we will have to see the former roommates part ways yet again. Buzzy et all, from Fox Sports:

Tebow talks progress and chances of making Eagles’ roster..

Great to hear Tim discuss the redzone play. He’s perfectly right. He saw the receiver and just didn’t think the risk/reward was right. Acting like it was an obvious error is absurd.

Also nice to see the lack of sarcasm from the writer when Tim discussed his approach.

At least commentators have generally stopped claiming his sideline throwaways were misses. They really are such dummies.

Go out to youtube and search out old Tebow/Cooper videos from their Florida days. It seems that they have a lot of chemistry and judging from several photo ops and videos of Tebow and Cooper since Tebow joined the Eagles it seems to be Tim and Riley are excited to be teammates again.

    Accuracy is not completion percentage
Accuracy is how often the QB throws the ball into the endzone without throwing interceptions. Tebow is one of the most accurate QBs in the NFL. He ranked 1st in 2010 for TDs per completion. Rookie Tebow was the fastest scoring QB in the league with a TD every 8.2 completions and every 7.1 carries.
    In 2014,
Romo averaged a TD every 8.94 completions,
Rodgers averaged a TD every 8.97 completions,
Luck averaged a TD every 9.5 completions
