Sunday report card from Elliot Schorr-Parks

How long do these guys practic anymore? 8 hours a week?

    • David says:

      Mark Eckel added this:
“Here are some other observations from Day 1.

Tebow Time: In the battle for the No. 3 quarterback spot, Tebow looked pretty good. He completed seven of his first eight passes and showed nice touch on most of those passes.”

    • ck says:

Sage: Guess we should rate Mr. Schorr from now on and I would give him the grade of F for failing to be unbiased!!:( Read the pro-Tebow comments and they said that Tebow’s range was in the 70%+ compared to others in regards to completions and 0 intercepts unlike Bradford who managed to obtain the only interception and the only one to do reps w/1st team I might add! Bet Sanchez was upset about that, lol!!! Glad Tebow had a better day than he was given credit for and will now read Meckel’s version instead due to the obvious bias as noted!!! Thanks for the link w/pics Sage. Hope Tebow has an even better day today!:D

First observations from NJ.Com’s Mark Eckel on Eagles first Practice.

“Tebow Time: In the battle for the No. 3 quarterback spot, Tebow looked pretty good. He completed seven of his first eight passes and showed nice touch on most of those passes.”

  8. brandi says:

Just an observation. Something has happened with Eliot Shorr-Parks, also of NJ.com. He had been a fairly fair voice on Tim Tebow. But today he gave him a Grade of D+ while saying Bradford has problems besides staying healthy yet giving him a C and that Sanchez can’t have anymore days as bad as today then giving him a B.

Something weird’s happened to his way of grading.

    • Sage says:

I’m glad for his up-to-the-minute tweets. But it’s nerve-racking to hear about bad throws. Tim needs to get out of practice and into games.

Damn, all I want is to watch Tebow get the chance to play, a right he earned by flipping the Broncos from the WORST team in the NFL (2009-2011) to victors in a playoff game.

    • Sage says:

In theory, ESP is talking up Barkley to promote trade value as a favor to Chip. Well, I’d like that to be true.

  9. lex says:

question: what date is it when the eagles’ 53 man roster be known?

  10. lex says:

Thanks, David. It shall be quite a busy month of August.

  11. David Oliver says:

    Amen! Go Tebow!

  12. bubbaelvis says:

Everything I read yesterday seemed to indicate Tebow had a solid day. Evidently, ESPN was showing Eagles training camp video and several people tweeted how great he looked. I can’t wait until they get in pads. I believe that is where Tim will begin to separate himself from the others. Everyone is expecting Bradford to be the starter but I am not convinced. I think Kelly wants a balanced offense maybe even slightly run heavy. Tebow provides the goods.

    • ck says:

Bubbaelvis: Agreed. And it will be great to see actual footage!

    • brandi says:

These things just have to drive Coaches nuts. Coaches want to look at things, work on things. They see things the media doesn’t and often are looking at entirely different things from the media.

Yet these grades get started. Do they matter? Well consider this. The NFL finds itself in a bit of a pickle in DeflateGate over intentionally “leaking” false Psi numbers to start an anti-Patriots uproar. The entire thing got out of hand and they can’t reel it back in.

Elliot, by the way, gave Tebow a Grade of B+ for today’s workouts. His excuse was Tim’s passes looked better even though the completions were the same as yesterday.

Some added crispness for Tim, a nice run. Looking a little better. Results? Generally the same. A D+ up to a B+.

      This stuff just gets goofy.
