Will Tim Tebow make the Eagles?( TKS DO )

There are plenty of questions surrounding the Eagles‘ quarterback position, from starter Sam Bradford all the way down to fourth-stringer Tim Tebow

Whether or not Tebow will make the Eagles 53-man roster has been a hot topic of conversation this offseason, with some not giving him a chance and others considering it close to a lock.

SportsInsights.com, a website that places odds on various sports, recently released their take on whether Tebow will be able to play his way back onto an NFL active roster.

Giving Tebow a 31% chance of making the roster seems low, considering he is competing against a player in Matt Barkley that the team tried to trade this offseason.

Tebow has been up-and-down since he signed with the team prior to offseason workouts. He shows flashes of being the dynamic playmaker he was at certain points during his time with the Denver Broncos, and is clearly the most athletic of the team’s quarterbacks.

He has also, however, been fairly inconsistent, throwing passes into the ground and missing wide open targets.

Tebow will get a chance to prove his detractors wrong starting Aug. 2 when the Eagles open training camp.

I remember hearing that Chip Kelly didn’t know that Tebow was still training until someone told him. This could mean that Tebow is not necessarily his third choice among the three QBs. He just didn’t know that he was available. He resigned Sanchez and traded for Bradford by March 10 and then he brought Tebow in for a look on March 20. It’s a good sign that he was chosen over Terrell Pryor and Thad Lewis as well as Barkley and Kinne. Thanks for the article, David O.

Thanks David.. for some more of a historical foundation – that does
appear to be GOOD NEWS… Going Forward.. GO TIM TEBOW!!

It’s conceivable. An HC probably gets engrossed in his work and certainly does not read message boards and sports publications.

Sure hope we get to see Tim perform in a game-like environment. There’s no question in my mind he will dominate most of those.

By the way, if Chip didn’t know Tim was available, that makes me wonder what Jimmy Sexton has been doing all this time.

This is the first season Chip has had free reign on personnel decisions. Jeff Fisher wanted to give Tim a look a couple times and was shot down. There’s similar stories around the league. Including with Chip Kelly about Tim. If he didn’t think there was any chance the Eagles would even let him look at Tim, let alone sign him, there’s not much point in his having kept up with the status of his training.
Buzzy Says : there were Three or four cocohes that want to look at T2 but the GMs shot it down,Texans , Rams , Bucs , Steelers , Bills Etc….
