I wish I hadn’t followed this link. What was the point?

The media ditches journalism every time they point at Tim Tebow’s completion percentage without telling you how far he threw the ball or how often he scores.
In 2010, Tebow ranked 1st for TDs per completion and 5th for TDs per pass attempt with a 50% completion percentage. He was the fastest scoring QB in the NFL with a TD every 8.2 completions and every 7.1 carries. I’ve never heard anyone in the sports media point this out. They ignored it the whole off season between 2010 and 2011 and acted like the Denver fans were crazy for wanting Fox to play Tebow instead of Orton. In 2010, Orton scored 20 times in 13 games and Tebow scored 11 times in 3 games and 13 plays. That’s 20% of the season and he was on course to score 55 TDs at that pace. Then,in 2011. when he took the field the media acted like he was starting over again, was unknown and had to prove himself. They will ignore his prior success this year as well if he gets a chance to play and as Brandi has pointed out, he’ll have to have a pro bowl season to survive the media bias and bigotry.

David – Great job presenting these stats, evidently a BIG SECRET
to these Elitist Haters – who prefer THE Misrepresentation of facts
to REAL FACTS, so that their AGENDA for a Tebow NFL “Black Ball” was
to be accepted through this “LIE MEDIA”..

You have to take Deadspin with a grain of salt most times. It made its bones by posting “leaked” financial reports on some Teams. Basically it’s the anti-media media. If Mainstream Media likes someone Deadspin “exposes” them to their counter-culture audience.

And every now and then they actually do cover something Mainstream won’t touch because it gets them in hot water with the leagues.

But mostly it’s angry teenagers. 🙂

  2. David says:

This is Skip Bayless’ version of the story
Skip Bayless is a commentator for ESPN and made these observations:
“My on-air opponents had all dug in before Tebow’s draft and said he can’t play quarterback in the NFL. They were all being proven wrong, yet they were the very vocal majority. And most of them despised Tebow for something deeper than football. Debate raged.”
“My opponents began to make jokes about Tebow’s Christianity, which outraged me on air. I’m a Christian, though (maybe to a fault) not as in-your-face as Tebow. I prefer actions to words. Yet I defended Tebow by saying, “He’s simply doing what Jesus instructed his disciples to do in the New Testament — be fishers of men.”
The media’s poor view is based in bigotry.

David – Yes this attitude and hate has been the REAL REASON,
Tim had been effectively “BLACK BALLED” FROM THE NFL – Coach
Kelly had the authority and control to give Tim this opportunity!

To be fair, sports journalists have ditched journalism way before Tebow came on the scene.

Remember back in the 90’s when baseball players were bulking up on steroids and the sports press didn’t report on it even though they knew it was happening.

The mainstream press went bonkers on Tebow because of his Christian faith. No other reason.

They can’t stand Tebow because he is a Christian and doesn’t shut up about it.

It drives those bigoted sports journalists up a freaking wall

  4. David says:

The NFL football season may suffer an interruption this year in September. Christians should be aware of it.
Joe_2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.
    Luk 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
Luk 21:26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
Luk 21:27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

I hope that all of you are aware that there are signs happening in the moon and the sun that are occurring on the Feasts of the Lord in 2014 and 2015. Blood moons or full lunar eclipses have happened 3 times on Passover and the Feast of Trumpets in 2014 and 2015. A solar eclipse darkened the sun in April of this year. The fourth blood moon will happen on Sept. 28th during the Feast of Trumpets in 2015 which begins on Sept 23rd. These men are not setting dates but pointing out that God is using the sun and the moon to send us a signal that a great event is about to happen. It could be the rapture and the beginning of the tribulation. Mark Biltz is the one that connected the lunar eclipses with the Jewish calendar and saw the pattern that these eclipses are associated with world events concerning Israel.
Mark Biltz – Possible Begining of the Tribulation – Sept 23rd Yom Kippur 2015
    Published on Jun 4, 2015
“Step by step Mark Biltz takes you through the festivals and the significance of each event and the corresponding Eclipses on the festival days in 2014 – 2015. Looking also at the Shemitah year we are currently in and the beginning of the Jubilee or 50th year since 1967 which falls on Yom Kippur the 23rd September 2015 to the very day ! A new 7 year cycle will begin on the day of atonement the last 7 year cycle that marks the start of the tribulation period. Prepare to be amazed and don’t stop watching especially towards the end of the video to see it all come together !”

Amen, David lots, of stuff to consider, and be alert for.

I am sure Tim Tebow is cognizant of many of these Truths.

Part of it is passing a Basic Dummy Test: Does God use

His Hebrew Calendar or Julius Caesar’s Julian Calendar

in His Prophetic Teachings, Warnings and Judgements on Nations?

Our President, Barack Obama, had a quick update on much of

what is coming, when Jonathan Cahn a Messianic Jew, was the speaker

    at Obama’s 2013 Presidential Inaugural BreakFast Jan 21st, 2014.

I like what Buzzy stated and made me guffaw. 🙂 Anyways, looking forward to good news and hope we get a front row seat rapture and football!

  7. ck says:

Looks like next week is the start of training camp and hope Tebow has a great showing (praying he overcomes any obstacles)! GO TEBOW!!!

  8. TheMascotArmy says:

I hope anything biblical happens after Tebow gets to start 5-10 seasons 🙂

  9. TheMascotArmy says:

BTW, Deadspin HATES Tebow, and so I return the favor.
