Covenant Children’s Hospital adds new playroom

Updated: 8:04 pm
With the help of the Tim Tebow Foundation, Covenant Children’s Hospital has added a new playroom for children.

Timmy’s Playroom, located next to the cafeteria on the garden level of the hospital, was donated by the foundation to give sick children a place that can be used for coping and the healing process.

“If a child has to come to a hospital and spend days or months, either way, it’s too long,” Erik Dellenback, Executive Director and President of the Tim Tebow Foundation said. “We don’t want our children in hospitals. As good as a hospital can be at making a warm and welcoming feeling, a hospital still feels like a hospital. Timmy’s Playroom is supposed to break that.”

The Covenant Children’s playroom is the 7th official Timmy’s Playroom. The Tim Tebow Foundation has 11 more playrooms in the works around the world.
