Will John Fox sign Tim Tebow in Chicago? ( TKS DO )

Will John Fox sign Tim Tebow to play for the Chicago Bears? I can promise you John Fox will have no love for Jay Cutler and may urge the Bears to try to trade him. John Fox is a veteran guy and will want a veteran quarterback to replace Jay Cutler or to at least sit on the bench behind him.

That being said John Fox loves to run the football and Tim Tebow is a good quarterback to have on a running team. Fox didn’t draft Tim Tebow in Denver but did coach him in the spread option offense to a playoff win against the Steelers.

So is it possible that John Fox will give Tim Tebow a tryout with the Chicago Bears? Sure its possible but very unlikely. Tim Tebow has been out of the game too long and Fox hates to interact with the media. If John Fox brings Tim Tebow to Chicago it would be the biggest media frenzy in NFL history.

I will say it again FOX is Pro TIm Tebow.

I agree with you Buzzy. Foxy loved Coaching Tim. But this is something it seems like nobody wants to hear. Oh well. 🙂

Elway says it was Fox’s idea to go and get Manning.

Fox wouldn’t let Tebow practice with the first team until before game 6. Fox told everyone, “Orton gives us our best chance to win,” until fan pressure made that imposible.

Only a sheer dickhead would hate Tebow, and Fox is not that. But it’s hard for me to see where the evidence of Fox’s appreciation for Tebow’s style of play.

Why not? Tim Tebow would probably increase Cutler’s incentive to perform better or encourage him to move on. Fox would have the best arguments for taking Tim because he had success with him before. Ditka is old school Bears football and he likes Tim. It would be an interesting move because the Bears play the Broncos, it would be good for business.

  3. Themascotarmy says:

No way. Fox was dragged kicking and screaming to start Tebow. He has no vision.

    • Sage says:

      Me too.

What’s odd is that Fox tells some interesting annecdotes about Tebow, such as Tim offering to pay for the meal in a pre-draft get-together. And Fox knows Tebow is an unrelenting warrior.

It just seems like Fox really isn’t seriously moved by much, other than a conservative approach to leading a team.

Everyone is saying that Fox wants to establish the running game. His running game in Denver left town with Tim Tebow. I hope he realizes that Tebow threw more TDs per pass attempt than Cutler so there is no downside to replacing Cutler with Tebow. Fox will get his running game back.

        • David says:

Except they owe Cutler about 25 million guaranteed on his contract. That’s the same situation Tebow faced in NY when they gave Sanchez 9 million over 2 years and couldn’t pull him out without losing face.

    • ck says:

Themascotarmy: Didn’t he state that Orton “Was the best chance to win?” Agree w/u that Fox is not much of a coach and definitely lackluster!:( He might have been following orders, but he did not allow T2 to do what he does best until the fourth quarter which made it look bad for Tebow…he and Elrot should have been fired together impo! Nice to see you back btw.

Buzzy, I prefer the format where comments are beneath the article. Just sayin’. Thanks for your work.

  5. BuzzyBuzzard says:

It was Not Fox that did not want to start T2 it it was they would not started T2 at the half of the Chargers game.
Fox Just Did as He was Told by his Boss It was also Elway that tradeed Loyde after the charger game,

  6. brandi says:

Foxy was very clear. “Of course I have faith in Tim Tebow. I bet my job on him.”
Buzzy Says :No one wants to listen to us about Fox.

Brady scored 33 times this year.

Tebow scored more TDs per pass attempt than Cutler.
In his first 15.5 games and 13 plays, Tebow scored 19 passing TDs in 374 attempts, 9 ints, 15 rushing scores, 937 yards rushing
Cutler scored 28 TDs in 561 attempts with 18 ints 2 rushing scores, 191 yards rushing
That’s a TD every 19.6 attempts for Tebow and every 20.03 attempts for Cutler.
Tebow threw a TD every 9.3 completions and Cutler threw a TD every 13.21 completions.
How does Tebow do that when Cutler has a higher completion percentage?
Tebow throws the ball farther with greater accuracy and scores more often.
Tebow averages 15.3 yards per completion
Cutler averages 10.3 yards per completion
Tebow threw the longest passes in the NFL and scored often. 22% of his passes were for over 20 yards in the air.
Tebow scored 34 times as a first time starter in a little over 15.5 games of play
Cutler scored 30 times in 15 games last year in his 9th year, a career high.
