Letters: Tim Tebow preferred to Johnny Manziel

MANZIEL AND TEBOW

The clear choice

In an opinion column, Roger Brown wrote that Johnny Manziel should be drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

He states Manziel would cause instant buzz, sustained energy.

Brown states that Jacksonville would definitely have more mojo than a homeless guy in Detroit.

But owner Shad Khan could have had all this mojo with Tim Tebow.

Khan owns the team and should have exercised his rights within his administration. He would have had a good Christian and a Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback.

Manziel has no respect for his coach. He is arrogant. And he sold his own autographs.

He is not honest. Image does matter, and he just doesn’t have a very good one.

We need our local quarterback.

Sign Tebow.

J.M. Dailey, Jacksonville

Well , the moment of truth has arrived.

Going on for two years now , NFL GM’s, coaches, owners and the mainstream media have said Tebow is not good enough to play in the NFL because:
    1) He’s lousy
    2) The Christian “media circus” he brings will be a major distraction to the team.

We now have the gay Michael Sam.
    1) His 40 yard dash time and his weightlifting reps were so bad a quarterback (AJ McCarron) beat him.
    2) The gay “media circus” he brings will be a major distraction to the team.

What is good for the Christian goose is good for the gay gander.

Per NFL standards set for Tebow – Sam should not be drafted at all.

It will be an interesting Saturday to say the least.

Andrea: All that you state is absolute truth and reverse discrimination against outspoken Christians with a capital “C” is practiced in plain site by the NFL! Right stands the test of time and that is why all the flamers and also rans will be a distant “flash in the pan!!!”
      GBPT2!!!

As far as Jacksonville goes, they deserve to be where they are…NOWHERE AND LOSING FOR NOT SELECTING A HOMETOWN WINNER SUCH AS T2!!!

    J. M. Dailey nailed it imo!

I am sure everyone has seen this on MSN but here is the link again.

Johnny Manziel is a real piece of work! Has not even played a play in the NFL and thinks he can pick and choose who drafts him.

Manziel’s antics do not surprise me at all – he already has a mug shot on his resume.

Interesting article on the mainstream media’s treatment of the gay Sam vs the Christian Tebow.

Stunning to see the media’s treatment of a Christian ballplayer and a ballplayer the media celebrates.

I will be glad when the draft is over. Once it is over and the dust has settled, we will see where Tim lands. I still believe his hard work will pay off and someone is going to pick him up. There will be teams that do not get the QB they want in the draft and Tebow will be in the mix. I also happen to believe that there is a team that already has plans to sign him. We will see.

  7. Bigfan says:

I agree bubba. If Vince Young can get signed Timmy sure the dickens can!

It appears all the chatter on Timmy NOT getting signed is centering on the circus he bring aspect.
Seems to me that was not the case at New England. Which brings me to the fact that it is a pure media circus that needs to back off. They are nothing but a bunch of paparazzis.

Hello good folks. I’m back for a minute though you folks don’t like me too much. I’ve heard some inside talk from some friends with the patriots. After mallet gets dealt (texans) tebow may get to come back after some workouts to see if he has made the improvements to better fit the offense in new england and if tebow wants to be a backup for a few years till brady retires or can’t play. The job is brady’s so long as he can play but this could work well long term as i hoped before.
Thought this news may make you guys happy and hope all of you are doing well and being well. Take care!
    Buzzy Says : Welcome

  9. Sage says:

Ha. When they run Davie Caldwell out of Jax, maybe that’s when Tebow will get his chance. 🙂
Buzzy Says Well Mr Caldwell you just drafted another Gabbert he will throw more INT than TDs.

Manziel just went to the Browns. He is so full of himself

  11. bubbaelvis says:

Very interesting first round. If Houston doesn’t take a QB in round 2 maybe the Mallet trade rumor is true. Tim to New England would be more likely. I have always thought they recommended he train with House, but when he signed with the SEC network it kind of threw me. Maybe they did with no guarantee of re-signing him but with the possibility if he improved enough. There is no doubt they like him and what he brings to the team in the way of intangibles. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Pats draft a QB in the late rounds and still bring in Tebow.

Lets all keep the faith, only time will tell. GO TEBOW we believe in you!!!!!!!!!!
