Browns sign QBs Young, Thigpen

Berea, OH (SportsNetwork.com) – Vince Young has landed on another roster.

Tyler Thigpen, too.

The Cleveland Browns said Thursday they have signed the veteran quarterbacks, along with linebacker Zac Diles, after all three were given tryouts during the team’s voluntary minicamp this week.

Young, 30, hasn’t played an NFL down since 2011, when he started three games and made appearances in six for the talented but underperforming Philadelphia Eagles team he dubbed “The Dream Team” in the preseason.

The former No. 3 draft pick, who played for Tennessee his first five seasons, was cut in the preseason each of the last two years by the Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers.

Thigpen, 30, last played for the Bills in 2012, appearing in four games and throwing five passes. The 2007 seventh-round pick has also played for Kansas City and Miami.

Diles, 28, had one tackle in two games for Tennessee last season and has also played for Indianapolis, Tampa Bay and Houston. He was a one-time starter for the Texans between 2008-10.

If Young and Thigpen can get signed why can’t Tebow? So tired of Tim being blackballed by the NFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amen ! THIS “ANTI-CHRISTIAN” TRAVESTY OF BOYCOTTING TT AS AN NFL QB –
CONTINUES – IN ITS ABSURD AND DISGUSTING CONSISTENCY OF CONSPIRACY!

INVESTIGATE THE NFL AND ITS $$ CONTROLLERS !!

It ain’t over till it’s over. It is very disheartening to see all these guys get signed and Tim Tebow’s name not even mentioned. It is like they are afraid to even speak his name. Here he is a successful, highly motivated, hard working, popular QB and it is like he is invisible. I have not given up hope. There has to be something going on in the Tebow camp for him to continue to put in all his time with Tom House working on mechanics. I believe folks respect House since he works with a lot of big names. I would think his endorsement would carry some weight. I am hopeful and waiting to see how this all unfolds.

I found an article yesterday by Rant Sports that actually discusses this with respect to Tebow and they bring up these very facts. I hope the media will start discussing this more and put some pressure on the NFL to give this guy a chance. I still hope Patriots have a plan for him. It seems very strange they would go through all of the trouble to bring him in and not have something up their sleeve. Mc Daniel is and was very close to Tebow
