FOX Sports 1 NFL Insider Mike Garafolo reported Wednesday morning that the QB and the Giants had agreed to a deal.

Freeman split time last season with the Buccaneers and the Vikings. He was cut by the Bucs following Week 7 and later joined the Vikings, only to play one game with Minnesota.

He’ll join the third team of his career as Eli Manning’s backup.

David Carr filled this job for . . . how many years? Backup is an easy gig and best for players who are happy with the # 2 on their back.

What’s sad is that the nfl decision-makers are so risk-averse that they continually churn and recycle the same small band of QBs. There really is enough talent for a new league. C’mon, A-11. Get it together. I’ll watch.

Sage: Agree w/u and how can they keep some of these people in the league when they have criminal records ad nauseum?!!! Talk about double standards!:(

I agree Sage. Mark Sanchez the backup QB for the Jets was traded to be the backup QB of the Eagles.

    Boring stuff.
