Super Bowl Commercials 2014: Tim Tebow Steals Show with ‘No Contract’ Ads

Even in the midst of a memorable Super Bowl XLVIII, as the Seattle Seahawks blew out the Denver Broncos 43-8 on Sunday, Feb. 2, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., Tim Tebow managed to make headlines.

The playoff-winning quarterback may not be on an NFL roster, but he made light of that fact in self-deprecating “No Contract” advertisements for mobile communications company T-Mobile

Just wondering how many of these so-called analysts who are saying Tebow did a spectacular job on these T.V. spots will advocate for Tebow to get hired to play N.F.L. football this coming season.

    My guess will be ZERO.

Here’s someone other than Brandi who sees the NFL on the way to the abyss.

As my friend Bill Rogan, sportscaster for KNUS AM710 Denver has noted: “Quarterbacks Kyle Orton, Curtis Painter, Michael Vick, Rex Grossman, Drew Stanton, Ryan Lindley, Colt McCoy, Tavares Jackson, Jordan Palmer, Shaun Hill, Scott Tolzien, Seneca Wallace, Josh Freeman, Christian Ponder, Matt Cassel, Sean Renfree, Dominique Davis, Derek Anderson, Jimmy Clausen, Luke McCown, Dan Orlovsky, Thad Lewis, Matt Moore, Pat Devlin, David Garrard, Matt Simms, Geno Smith, Mark Sanchez (injured reserve), Tyler Bray, Chase Daniel, Matt McGloin, Terrelle Pryor, Brad Sorensen, Charlie Whitehurst, Tyrod Taylor, Josh Johnson, Zac Robinson, Jason Campbell, Brian Hoyer, Alex Tanney, Brandon Weedon, Bruce Gradkowski, T.J. Yates, Matt Hasselbeck, Ricky Stanzi, Blaine Gabbert, Chad Henne and Rusty Smith were all on NFL rosters this past season. But Tim Tebow wasn’t.”

(Curtis Painter is the most egregious of all. Years to “study” under Maning and nothing to show for it.)

Love your post! I also loved the article. My hubby has been a 49’ers fan since boyhood, he said he will still be a fan, but not of the NFL, he is fed up with the bad calls and as he calls it wimpy playing. He also does not like the way Tebow is treated and all the double standards.

I keep praying Tim finds a home I miss watching him play and the excitement he brings to the game.

Go TEBOW! Oh and I am so glad Denver lost!
