Tim Tebow has rejected a million-dollar offer to play American football in Russia, according to an R-Sport report.

Moscow Black Storm owner Mikhail Zaltsman, who made the offer for Tebow to play in just two games, confirmed in an email that the polarizing quarterback respectfully denied the pitch.

“Unfortunately agents of Tim Tebow turn down our proposal,” Zaltsman said in e-mailed comments. “I hope that its Tebow’s agents’ fault that the contract wasn’t signed and Tim couldn’t do anything about it.

“If it was his decision – it’s very upsetting. And in this case we don’t want him in our team anyway.”

“We are looking for the people who pursue their dreams, not the ones who talk about it.”

Tebow, who is  leaving some hope that an NFL team will sign him, was reportedly swayed by his agents to steer clear of this opportunity.

This Russian football person takes the opportunity to make some snide remark about T2. Timmy is following his dream by staying in the US, training and keeping himself available to the NFL. The Russian team has gotten what it wanted- a moment of fame at Timmy’s expense. They must have been watching American media and other folks who use Timmy to further their own interests. Tag the name Tebow to it and it will get attention.

I thought the shots at Tim were a hoot too!

By the way, I believe their offer was one million rubles (about $30,000 US), not one million dollars. The conversion is about thirty-two to one.

Typical Tebow reporting by the press, get it “just a little wrong,” and everyone reports the same thing.
