Tim Tebow struggles again for Patriots in preseason

Brant Parsons

Tebow played the entire second half for New England in the Patriots 25-22 win over Tampa Bay but completed just 1 pass for -1 yard. Tebow also had a pass intercepted.

The former University of Florida star was 1-for-7 on the night but did help move the ball on the ground on the final drive of the game to secure the preseason win for the Patriots

Tebow finished the night with 30 yards on six carries.

The two quarterbacks in front of Tebow had much better nights.

Tom Brady was near-perfect, connection on 11-of-12 passes for 107 yards and a touchdown while Ryan Mallett was 12-for-20 for 137 yards.

The Patriots led 18-10 at halftime. New England’s one score in the second half was on a 53-yard interception return for a score by Logan Ryan.

Tampa Bay’s first-team offense sputtered early in the game but the Bucs did find success in the second half with rookie Mike Glennon throwing for two scores and Mike James and Peyton Hillis combining for 154 yards for the game, with a large chunk of that coming in the second half.
